SLC was founded in 1985 in Silicon Valley, and has been located in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center since 1996. We are happy to offer the following services:
Langages: C, C++ and Java; Operating systems: Windows, UNIX. Our particular speciality is in network protocols and terminal emulation. We have a particular interest in code optimization. Please refer to our Corporate Resume for information about projects we have completed.
We can develop web pages using HTML and incorporate database access using Java Server Pages and JDBC. We have both Microsoft IIS and Apache servers running Tomcat and Sun Web Application Server. We can also web-enable Filemaker databases using Lasso and offer Filemaker to SQL conversion.
We have an in-house digital photography studio and can offer a variety of imaging services including photography, scanning, and image manipulation.
We run our own local area network on a Windows 2000 server, and host our own web sites. We are available to consult with our fellow tenants on setting up such networks and connecting them to the CRC backbone.
We run a variety of computers such as HP9000 (UNIX), HP3000 (MPE) and Linux and might be able to work with software developers on portability testing.
